The Black Box EZ connectors meet the specifications of CAT6. The connector has a simple one-piece construction with no terminal strips or inserts. This allows the technician to be connected through the connector cable just to the head end of the connector. Thus, the wiring of the cables are more easily visually checked before crimping.
To further optimize the electrical performance, the technician can pull the connector firmly over the cable sheath. Thus, the cable is secure at the back of the connector and the distance between the twist and the contacts can be minimized.
Especially in in low light levels and awkward spaces it’s hard to see what you’re doing, to cut to length correctly, and poke the wires into the right apertures.
