Marketing Technology Manager EMEA

Black Box (www.blackbox.com, NASDAQ: BBOX), a comprehensive IT product and service solutions provider, is seeking a European Marketing Technology Manager.


Purpose of the Job

This position will report to the European Marketing Director and will leverage experience in planning, designing, implementing and managing marketing operations in support of Black Box' Technology Products Solutions marketing group. This position is also responsible for acquiring and consolidating marketing performance metrics.

The European Marketing team is a group of enthusiastic marketing professionals performing a wide range of marketing activities using a large variety of marketing channels in order to support revenue and profitability goals of the company.

As a member of our dynamic European Marketing team, your primary responsibility will be to manage the operation of the marketing systems and technology. You will lead a group of experts and will ensure timely and accurate acquisition and presentation of marketing performance metrics.


Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Management of marketing technology operations:
  • Managing a team of specialists supporting the EMEA digital marketing platforms
  •  * Website
            - 15 international websites and corresponding online stores
            - Integration with channel partner websites
            - Website and telephone integration with local country offices
            - Google Analytics and providing performance data to UX design and marketing program managers
     * Content Management System
     * Product Information database
     * Marketing Automation (Eloqua)
     * Collaborate with the sales team for interfacing to the CRM system (SalesForce.com)
     * Collaborate with the operations team for interfacing to the ERP system

  • Defining, acquiring, consolidating and verifying of marketing performance data
  • Maintaining European marketing scorecards
  • Ensuring a seamless operation of the translation process for the managed facilities
The marketing operations team is responsible for managing the following processes:
  • Product database management of the online stores including upload of pricing information
  • Updating websites
  • Managing translation services for the six major languages supported
  • Aggregating performance marketing data
  • Campaign planning and results tracking
  • Awareness, leads, contribution to funnel, revenues
  • Promotions cost
  • Reporting and data integrity verification
  • KPI reports

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Safeguard the process management of Marketing Operations and define new process as the organization is evolving
  • Contact database management
  • Standardisation of key data structures for the marketing team including fields, views, groups, pick-lists
  • Supporting the customisation of Eloqua functionality, including but not limited to data cards, custom tracking functions, programs, campaign integration, dynamic templates, dynamic content, progressive profiling
  • High degree of expertise in Google Analytics
  • Ongoing data cleansing, maintenance of data health for contacts
  • Ability to develop and support campaigns, multiple lead score models, analysis and qualification for contact activity within Eloqua
  • Collaborate on Eloqua/SalesForce roadmap with Digital Marketing Managers for US and Global teams
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for components, applications and/or 3rd party integrations
  • Lead the Marketing Analyst for reporting and ROI tracking for all marketing efforts

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Experience working with the Eloqua API
  • Strong foundational knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript, .NET, database technologies, and data modelling
  • Strong foundational knowledge of digital marketing with understanding of how to track marketing efforts and effectiveness across systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to handle various tasks simultaneously, organise, prioritise, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
  • Ability to quickly and effectively learn Black Box┬┤ business processes and how they apply to digital efforts
  • Ability to understand scope and requirements to drive innovative operations and results tracking solutions
  • Anticipate potential project problems and create solutions or contingency plans
  • Strong team player, with ability to mentor and educate team members across the business
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing and marketing operations
  • Senior expertise in marketing automation, web platforms, CRM systems and database management/queries; Eloqua/SalesForce.com expertise
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and data management in a multi-lingual environment

Supervisory Responsibility

The Marketing Technology Manager EMEA will report to the Marketing Director EMEA and dotted line to the Marketing Technology Manager based at headquarter in the USA.
