The new range of mini cabinets from Black Box, available as either surface mount or flush mount, are the easy way to keep your infrastructure organised. Offering up to 132 ports per cabinet, these boxes are flexible enough to ensure all your voice and data circuits are met. The cabinets are made from powder coated steel and are available in three sizes – small (5U), medium (8U), and large (11U). Surface mount
The surface mount cabinet is designed to surface mount onto a wall without the need to cut into the wall. The unit is 95mm deep. It is screwed to the wall from screw fixings in the back. The top and bottom ends can be removed whilst the unit is fitted to ease installation. The top and bottom panels have knock outs that can be used if trunking is being used to bring the cabling to the enclosure. There are also large knock outs in the back to allow for cable entry from the back of the unit. Flush mount
The flush mount cabinet is designed to flush mount into a stud partition wall. The unit is 95mm deep. It has dog leg grips on the left and right to achieve a firm fixing. Like the surface mount cabinet, cable access is via the removable top and bottom, or from the knock outs in the back.
